Platinum Padel Ltd is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. In other words, we decide why it is collected and how it is used.

When you complete the registration form we record:

• your email address;
• the date and time you registered;
• the exact wording of the consent you agreed to; and
• whether you have since withdrawn that consent.

We do not ask for your name, address, phone number or payment details at this stage. Like most websites, our hosting providers keep standard technical logs (such as your IP address and the pages requested) to run the service securely. Those logs are created and retained by those providers as part of running the service, so the retention period is set by each provider rather than by us; we do not use them to identify individual visitors.

Only to send you email updates about Platinum Padel: launch news, events and offers. We do not use your address for anything else, we do not profile you, and we never sell or rent it to anyone.

No updates are being sent yet: registrations are simply stored securely until an email provider is connected and tested. Completing the form does not trigger a confirmation email at present.

We rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR) to send you marketing emails. For email marketing we also follow the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), which is why the consent box on our form is unticked by default and cannot be pre-selected.

You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect anything we lawfully did before you told us.

Your details are held in a managed database used only by this website. Access is limited to authorised administrators at Platinum Padel Ltd, who sign in with individual password-protected accounts; only they can view, export or delete registrations, and the data is not readable from the public website. The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Website platform, hosting and database: Base44 (base44.com), a service operated by Wix.com Ltd, whose platform runs on Cloudflare's global network. Your registration is stored within that managed platform and is not published anywhere on this website. Where that information is processed is described in section 7.

We use a small number of suppliers to run this site and, in future, to send our emails. They may only process your information on our written instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.

• Website hosting, application runtime and database: Base44 (base44.com), a service operated by Wix.com Ltd, running on Cloudflare's global network.
• Storage and delivery of the site's images: Base44 media hosting (media.base44.com).
• Typefaces: Google Fonts (Google LLC), loaded from googleapis.com, which receives your IP address when a page loads.
• Email updates: no email marketing provider is connected yet, so no marketing email is sent by this website. This notice will be updated before any provider is used.

Each provider publishes a data protection agreement that forms part of its standard terms and governs the information it handles for us: the Base44 Data Processing Agreement published by Wix.com Ltd, and Cloudflare's Customer Data Processing Addendum. Those agreements describe the processing instructions, security measures, use of sub-processors and transfer safeguards that apply to the service.

We do not assume that your information stays in the UK. Our website platform and its network, the storage of the site's media, and the font provider are international services, so information may be stored or processed outside the UK, including in the United States.

Where information is transferred outside the UK, an appropriate safeguard must be in place — either a UK adequacy regulation or contractual safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Our providers set out the contractual and other safeguards they apply in their published agreements, which are described in section 6. We do not claim that one particular safeguard applies to this website beyond what those published agreements state.

We keep your registration information for as long as your consent remains valid and the information is reasonably necessary for Platinum Padel updates. We review the registration list every 12 months and delete information that is no longer needed. This review is carried out by us; no automated review or deletion is in place. Requests to withdraw consent are handled promptly by hand.

If you withdraw your consent, we stop sending you updates and remove your details from the marketing list. We keep a minimal record of the withdrawal — your email address and the date — so that we can honour it and do not contact you again by mistake.

No marketing emails are being sent yet. In the meantime you can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@platinum-padel.com with the subject line “Unsubscribe”, and we will action it without delay.

When we begin sending updates, every message will include a one-click unsubscribe link and a link to manage your preferences, and using it will remove you from the list without asking why. This page will be updated at that point to name the email provider.

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

• be told what we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
• have inaccurate information corrected;
• ask us to delete your information;
• ask us to restrict what we do with it;
• object to us using it;
• receive it in a portable, machine-readable format; and
• withdraw your consent at any time.

These rights are free to exercise. We will respond within one month, and will tell you if we need longer.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We have not added any advertising or analytics cookies to this website, and we use no tracking pixels and no visitor profiling. The pages and images you see are delivered by our website platform and its media hosting, which may set cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary to serve the site securely; these are not used to build a profile of you.

Our typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads.

If we add analytics or advertising in future, this section will be updated first and any consent required will be requested before those tools run.

Links to our Facebook and Instagram pages take you to those platforms, which set their own cookies and have their own privacy notices.

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and amend the date at the top. Where the change is significant and you are on our list, we will email you about it.
